I provided a pink Exam Letter for students to bring home for parent signature if they are interested in ordering a re-take exam (or it\u2019s attached to this email).\u00a0 Re-take exams are at the expense of the student but payment can be made any time through the end of this school year.\u00a0 Please make sure the re-take order is submitted to me by Sept. 9<sup>th<\/sup> so as not to incur any late fees from Cambridge.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; color: #000000;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong><u>NEW WAY TO PAY<\/u><\/strong><\/span> \u2013 Re-take Exam fees can now be paid online by going to <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><a style=\"color: #3366ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.schoolpay.com\">schoolpay.com<\/a><\/span>!!<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; color: #000000;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong><u>AICE Parent Night<\/u><\/strong><\/span> \u2013 Is scheduled for Thursday, September 22<sup>nd<\/sup> at 6pm at the SAHS Auditorium.\u00a0 More info. to come \u2013 but mark your calendars now!<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; color: #000000;\"><strong><u>PSAT for Sophomores<\/u><\/strong>:\u00a0 SAHS automatically schedules all 10<sup>th<\/sup> graders to take the PSAT.\u00a0 Students will take it at the school on Oct. 13<sup>th<\/sup>, so watch for information about that.\u00a0 Students will need to plan on taking the SAT and\/or ACT during junior year for college admissions applications \u2013 so this is great practice!<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; color: #000000;\"><strong><u>9 weeks grade review<\/u><\/strong>:\u00a0 I will run grades after the 1<sup>st<\/sup> 9<sup>th<\/sup> A letter will be sent home for any student who has 3 or more C\u2019s at that time.\u00a0 We went over the steps to take if students are not earning the grade they are capable of\u2026starting with talking to their teacher!\u00a0 Parents are encouraged to contact any teacher for whom their student is not performing at their normal level to get any help or suggestions from the teacher.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; color: #000000;\"><strong><u>AICE Student Tutors<\/u><\/strong>:\u00a0 Students who are interested in providing tutoring to other AICE students gave me their name\/contact info. by subject.\u00a0 As I get requests for tutoring I will provide the appropriate subject list to the student and they will contact the AICE student Tutor to arrange a date\/time\/place for the tutoring.\u00a0 Student tutors will get community service hours for helping!!!\u00a0 Please ask your student if they signed up for this \u2013 and let me know if you do NOT want your student to be a tutor.\u00a0 Please keep in mind that non-AICE students will use this tutor list too.\u00a0 If your student needs extra help in any subject, please email me or have your student stop by and I will provide the AICE Student Tutor list \u2013 any time!<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; color: #000000;\">Go to <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><a style=\"color: #3366ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.FloridaShines.org\">FloridaShines.org<\/a><\/span> and register to see an individual student\u2019s high school courses &amp; grades with a comparison to where they stand for eligibility for the Bright Futures awards.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; color: #000000;\"><u><\/u>And I think that\u2019s about it!!!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; color: #000000;\">Any questions \u2013 let me know!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; color: #000000;\">Dena K.
