Recommendations are to take each at least twice if possible <em>(Fee waivers are available for any student who qualifies for Free or Reduced lunch &#8211; see Mrs. Bechtle if this is needed)<\/em>. The reason for taking each one twice is that: <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size: 10pt\">1) some students do better on one or the other;<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\">2) when most students take it the first time &amp; look at their scores, they decide that maybe they need to study and take it again! It is also best to take it towards the end of the school year (at least for the 2nd time) at the end of some of the upper level coursework they&#8217;re taking.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The schedule of when the tests are available is on their websites. When you register for the SAT (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.collegeboard.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.collegeboard.com<\/a>) or ACT (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.act.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.act.org<\/a>), the websites provide a lot of <strong>FREE<\/strong> study help as well. If students will use it, that may be all they need. Some students figure out that it might be more helpful for them to take a class with a teacher than to depend on themselves to go through the tutorials and practice tests available online &#8211; which is where the Prep course offered by one of our AICE Parents, Ralph Ingwersen, comes in. \u00a0See SAT Prep Florida in the next section.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size: 10pt\">Another SAT\/ACT Prep website that has been recommended is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.number2.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.number2.com<\/a><span style=\"color: #000000\">.
